Helloooo??

Yikes, it's been a long time! Boys have been up at the barn with their dad and I've tried to convince them to blog about their epic climb of McKenzie Mountain (!). Not bad, eh? Alas, they couldn't be bothered but trust that they are having a great summer. Now, I am back and getting a plan for the rest of our week. Seems like today will be a nice one and we will be visiting our lovely friends Angus and Linnea on lovely Rainbow Lake. Stay tuned!

Still haven't qualified your "46er" blog name, yet? Too bad. There are a number of REAL 46rs out here who still believe that it's an honor to be earned and not used until then. As you promised a few months ago, you really should give some explanation in your profile.

omg.
really, what else is to say?
this guy needs a worthy cause to volunteer for.

annie - I take it you're not a 46r either...

You assume much - first, that I am a "guy" and second, that I do not volunteer for any worthy causes. I'm sorry you don't understand how "46r" actually means something to 6212 people (and counting). Check out our website and see - www.adk46r.org

For the 46r snob, get a life.

I am a native and live all of the Adirondacks including but not just limited to the Mountains.

By the way I am a 46 er also, or was twelve years ago, everthing is relative. 46er Family, leave your blog name as is........

Wow, winterhawk, your statement that you are a "46 er" but then qualify it with you were twelve years ago, pretty much proves that you are NOT. You don't stop being a 46r and every 46r knows that. You are a phony and don't really care except to deride me. If someone claimed to be a "doctor" but did not earn that title, do other doctors have a right to come down on them? I think so. I simply think that if someone claims a title, they should have earned it - nothing less...

My husband is a 46er and it is quite an achievement and something that he is very proud of. With time constraints of a job and a young family it took him 20 years to become a 46er. The blog name does assume that the family members are already 46ers. How about "Aspiring 46er Family." Anyway, I miss reading about this family's adventures in the Adirondacks. Anyone know why Bridget hasn't posted since July?
